Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Service Status: Parchai's website is live and serving hosts and their guests today, including Parchai Plans and its AI coordination features. The Parchai mobile app is available on the App Store and Google Play. This Terms of Service covers the website and the mobile app alike.

1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Parchai.ai. By accessing or using our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Parchai.ai ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Parchai.ai provides an AI-powered event coordination service designed to help users plan social events with friends and family.

Parchai Occasions: Creating an occasion and inviting up to 100 guests is free. Premium features require a one-time credit unlock for that occasion. Those features are uploading your own images, adding background music, and inviting more than 100 guests. The credit amount is shown to you before you confirm the unlock. Occasions created before 7 September 2026 are not subject to these Premium requirements. Optional add-ons, such as a Photo Contest, are also one-time credit unlocks for a single occasion; the amount is shown before you confirm, and nothing is charged until you do.

Free to download: The Parchai mobile app can be downloaded at no cost.

Attendees pay nothing: Users who are invited to events are not required to pay.

Organizer credits: Credits power Parchai's coordination services across both products, and a single credit balance is shared between them. In Parchai Plans, creating a Plan consumes credits as a service fee. In Parchai Occasions, hosting is free for up to 100 guests; unlocking Premium features or a Parchai Live experience (such as Football Squares, the Live Program, or a photo contest — each contest is its own purchase) for an occasion consumes credits, and the amount is disclosed before you confirm the unlock. A live experience must be run within 30 days of its purchase; you may extend that once by 30 days, after which it is removed and the credits are not returned.

What is being sold: Credits represent payment for Parchai's coordination services (such as invitations, reminders, and scheduling assistance delivered through Parchai Plans, and Premium features and add-ons in Parchai Occasions). Credits are not a license to software or ownership of the app. The app itself is a conduit to the coordination service. The full terms covering credits, subscriptions, refunds and taxes are in section 4 below; for a plain-language explanation of how credits are consumed, see our Credits Policy.

AI-powered features: Our Service utilizes artificial intelligence to provide personalized recommendations, analyze user preferences, and automate aspects of event coordination. All AI-generated content and recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and should be reviewed by users before implementation.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.

3. Eligibility and Registration

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age.
  • Create an account with accurate, complete, and updated information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • Promptly notify us of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our discretion.

4. Credits, Subscriptions, and Payments

Credits: Purchased credits are redeemed for Parchai's coordination services across Parchai Plans and Parchai Occasions, from one shared balance. Credits are not software, not cash, and not transferable.

Who you are buying from: where you buy decides who sells to you, and it changes your rights. Buy on our website and you are buying from Parchai LLC; we are the merchant of record, our card processor is Stripe, and every rule on this page applies. Buy inside the iPhone app and you are buying from Apple; buy inside the Android app and you are buying from Google. In those two cases we are not the merchant, we never see your card, and the store's own terms govern the payment. Your credits land in the same single balance either way.

Bundles: You may purchase credits in bundles for one-time use. Bundles are sold on our website and in both mobile apps.

Subscriptions are available on our website only: you may opt into an auto-renewal subscription, under which additional bundles of credits are automatically purchased each period. Subscriptions are for recurring service fees, not for software licensing. They are not sold through the App Store or Google Play — the mobile apps sell one-time credit bundles only — so a subscription is always a purchase from us.

Expiration: Credit expiration rules (if any) will be clearly displayed at purchase.

Cancelling a subscription: Because subscriptions are sold only on our website, you cancel auto-renewal on our website, at any time, from Account → Subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not end the billing period you have already paid for, and any credits already in your balance remain yours to use.

Refunds for purchases made on our website: credits and subscription payments are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops the next charge; it does not refund charges already made. In extenuating circumstances we may issue a refund, at our sole discretion, where you ask us within 30 days of the purchase. To ask us to consider your case, open a support ticket from your account settings. Where we do approve a refund, we return it to your original payment method, and we can only refund credits you have not already spent. There is one automatic exception: if you unlock a live experience and remove it before anyone has used it, those credits return to your balance immediately.

Refunds for purchases made inside the mobile apps: credits bought through Apple's in-app purchase are billed by Apple, and credits bought through Google Play billing are billed by Google. We are not the merchant for either. Refund decisions rest entirely with that store under its own policies, so we can neither grant nor refuse them, and asking us cannot help — you request a refund from Apple or from Google directly. If you ask a store for a refund, it may ask us how much of that purchase you have already used; you agree that we may share that information with the store so that it can decide.

If a store reverses a purchase: when Apple or Google refunds a purchase, we remove the credits it granted from your balance. If you have already spent some of them, your balance goes to zero and the remainder is recorded as credits you owe. We do not bill you for that amount and we do not chase it. It is settled out of the next credits you are granted, before those credits can be spent, and it clears once it is paid off. Your balance is never negative and nothing you have already created is taken away.

If you delete your account: any unused credits are forfeited and are not refunded or transferable.

Taxes: Service fees may be subject to VAT, GST, or sales tax in certain jurisdictions. For purchases on our website, Parchai applies such taxes where legally required. For purchases made inside the mobile apps, tax is calculated and collected by Apple or Google as the seller, and appears on the receipt that store sends you.

5. User Conduct and AI Usage Restrictions

When using our Service, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Infringe upon the rights of others.
  • Use the Service for unauthorized or illegal purposes.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Use AI features for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or licensed professions).
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to exploit our AI systems.
  • Use the Service to train competing AI models.

Zero Tolerance: Parchai has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on the Service. You can report any message or photo contest entry and block any user directly in the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove offending content, and terminate the accounts of users responsible for it.

AI Content Disclaimer: All AI-generated suggestions are provided for informational purposes only. Human oversight is required for all important decisions.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Parchai.ai and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt and transmit your content solely as needed to operate the Service. For example, to display your invitation to the guests you invite and to resize images for different screens. We do not publish your content publicly, use it to promote Parchai, or share it with anyone beyond the guests you choose. Photo contest entries are visible to everyone the host shares that contest's link or QR code with, including on a screen shown at the event. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

User-Uploaded Content: You are solely responsible for any images, music, or other media you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share such content. Parchai.ai is not responsible for any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property violations resulting from content you upload.

Photos of other people: When you enter a photo in a photo contest, or add one on someone else's behalf, you confirm that you have permission from everyone shown in it, and, for anyone under 18, from their parent or guardian. The host and the person who entered a photo can remove it at any time, and anyone taking part in a contest can report an entry.

7. Event Hosts and Guest Data

Host Responsibilities: When you create an event and invite guests through Parchai Occasions, you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permission to share event details with those individuals. You should only invite people who have a reasonable expectation of receiving such invitations from you.

Guest Information: Guest names, RSVP responses, and related data collected through your events are stored on our platform. You agree not to misuse this information or use it for purposes unrelated to your event.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. You agree we are not liable for damage or loss caused by use of third-party sites.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parchai.ai and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, or data.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parchai.ai, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or infringement of others' rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Cook County, Illinois.

13. AI System Limitations and Human Oversight

Our AI systems are designed to assist with event coordination, but have inherent limitations:

  • AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased
  • Human review is required for all recommendations
  • We strive for fairness but cannot guarantee bias-free results
  • AI is used only to assist with event coordination, never to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will provide 30 days' notice before they take effect.
