Credits & AI Planning

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Summary: Planning an event with Parchai's AI assistant uses credits. You're charged once per event, when you start it. You can keep refining that event's plan as much as you like while it's still upcoming. After the event takes place (or is cancelled) its planning chat becomes read-only. To plan another gathering, you start a new event.

1. What credits are

Credits are how you pay for AI-assisted event planning on Parchai. The AI planning assistant, which helps you choose dates, venues, and details, draft invitations, and coordinate guests, is the part of Parchai that costs us money to run, and credits are what cover it. Your current credit balance is always visible in the Parchai mobile app.

2. How planning uses credits

  • You need credits to start. To begin planning an event you must have at least one event's worth of credits.
  • You're charged once, at the start. The credits for an event are applied when you create it, not per message and not per change. Once an event is started and paid for, you can exchange as many messages with the assistant about that event as you need.
  • No surprise mid-plan charges. Refining an event you've already started never costs additional credits.
  • The exceptions: Occasions add-ons. Hosting an occasion is free for up to 100 guests. Optional add-ons are one-time unlocks for a single occasion: Premium (your own images, background music, or more than 100 guests) and Parchai Live experiences such as Football Squares, the Live Program, and each photo contest (a Costume Contest and a Pumpkin Contest are two separate purchases). None is ever automatic. You are shown the credit cost and your balance, and nothing is charged until you confirm.
  • Live experiences have a 30-day window. A live experience you unlock must be run within 30 days of the purchase (a contest's first reveal, a Squares grid lock, a program's first "now playing"). If you need more time, you can extend it once by 30 days, from the reminder email or the Live page; the extension is granted automatically. After that the experience is removed and the credits are not returned. Like every credit charge, it is non-refundable; in extenuating circumstances we may refund at our discretion if you open a support ticket within 30 days of the purchase.
  • Remove one nobody has used and the credits come straight back. Removing an experience before anyone has used it returns the credits to your balance immediately, with no ticket and no waiting. Buy a game and never play it, and you can take it off and get your credits back. Once it has been used it stays put: a guest has opened it, you have built out the run of show, or in a game a number has been called, a card dealt, or a prize claimed. Opening the setup screen never counts as using it.
  • Games are bought for one night. Tambola and Bingo close 30 days after you buy them, and that window cannot be extended. Unlike the other live experiences, they are bought for a date you already have rather than something you build over time.

3. One event = one plan

Starting an event opens an AI planning chat for that specific event. While the event is still upcoming, you can keep refining it freely. Change the date, time, place, theme, or guest list as many times as you like. That's all part of planning the same single occasion, and it's included.

For occasions hosted on the Parchai website, that freedom covers guest lists up to 100. Going beyond 100 guests, or adding your own images or background music, is the separate Premium unlock described above, a one-time credit charge for that occasion, always confirmed by you first.

4. After an event has taken place

Once an event has happened, or if you cancel it, its planning chat becomes read-only. You'll still be able to look back at the conversation and the event's details, but the assistant won't continue planning in that chat. To plan another gathering, simply start a new event.

5. Recurring events

Recurring events aren't supported yet. Plan each occurrence as its own event. If you'd like to repeat something like a monthly dinner or a weekly game night, just start a new plan for the next date. If you ask the assistant to make an event recurring, it will offer to start a fresh plan for the next occasion instead.

6. Buying & managing credits

You can buy credits in three places: on our website at your Parchai account, inside the iPhone app, or inside the Android app. It is one balance wherever you buy, tied to your Parchai account, and it is always shown in the mobile app.

Where you buy decides who you are buying from. On the website you are buying from Parchai, and our refund, subscription and tax rules apply. Inside the iPhone app you are buying from Apple, and inside the Android app from Google. Those are their sales, not ours, so refunds for them are asked for and decided by that store, and we cannot grant or refuse one. Subscriptions are sold on the website only.

This page explains how credits work. The terms that govern payment, covering who sells to you, subscriptions and auto-renewal, cancelling, refunds and taxes, are in section 4 of our Terms of Service.

7. AI and your data

The planning assistant uses the details of the event you're planning, including its title, dates, location, and the messages you send it, to help you plan. It is provided to help you organize real gatherings, not as a general-purpose chatbot. For full details on how we handle your data, including your rights to access and delete it, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These rules keep planning fair and the assistant fast and affordable for everyone.
